Few ways to boost your energy

Few ways to boost your energy

Weight loss questions and answers
When I used to weigh way more than 150 pounds (that's 70, in kilograms), I also used to feel fatigued most of the time. However, it didn't really bother me that much, because I was literally used to being tired, so this, for me, used to be something normal. Walking to the closest supermarket made me gasp for air! I needed to take naps in the afternoon. Whenever I had some free time, I didn't have the energy to go for a walk without having to sit on a bench to catch my breath or at least clean the house properly without taking lots of breaks. I got tired too quickly, I had forgotten what feeling energized actually means. Luckily, I got mad at myself. There was definitely a time in my life when I used to have so much energy, I felt like a bunny rabbit on batteries! Of course, those wer

Weight loss tips for Christmas

Weight loss
Well, it's official :) 3 more weeks 'till Christmas! It's a magical time, this Holiday, the Christmas tree, Santa's presents... and all the Christmas food! Honestly, I can't remember ever spending a Christmas without tons of food. I know the winter holidays should be about the children and bringing them joy, but when have you ever spent a Christmas without way too many meal courses? Everyone cooks like crazy, because everyone visits everyone and what better way to socialize than over a home cooked meal? Well, for me personally, this will be the second year I plan on staying away from all the temptation. Ok, maybe not all of it, I'm not a robot, but it's really not worth it, not even if you're skinny by nature! But for anyone who is or used to struggle with weigh loss, Christmas is th

Crash diets: do they work or not?

Weight loss questions and answers
Crash diets seem to be the most popular methods people are looking for when wanting to lose weight. Everyone wants to lose it fast and without any effort. And since a crash diet is so easy (in theory), many will look for one. The less calories, the better. Some might even be OK with drinking water all day long, is anyone advised it online! This is the problem with crash diets, you can indeed lose weight extremely fast if you starve yourself. Really, you can. But what's the point? You're gonna gain it all back anyway. And what appalls me most is that we're used to believe everything we read. Any article saying "experts say "simply must be true! (sarcasm..) What the media says about crash diets If you Google "crash diets" right now, you will find many websites talking about the research

How losing weight can save you money

Weight loss
Can losing weight go hand in hand with being frugal? Can losing weight actually help you save money? Why, yes! I didn't believe it either, to be honest, but after almost 2 years of living a healthier lifestyle, I noticed that eating healthy is actually a lot cheaper than eating fast food, microwave meals or other fast yet unhealthy meal choices. But to get to the point already, here's why: 1. Fa(s)t food vs. lean meat & veggies Did you ever notice how a burger at McDonalds is only €1? Well, with these prices, it appears that fast food is not only fast, but cheap too! In reality though, you're probably gonna need more than 1 burger to feel full, right? Leaving aside the fact that junk food is not at all nutritious, when you compare how much it costs you to buy lunch at
How to kick start my weight loss?

How to kick start my weight loss?

Weight loss questions and answers
Kick starting weight loss is a real challenge among everyone who decides to try it. I know it was for me, I knew I had to do something to lose weight because it's not gonna come off if I just think about it real hard. However, kick starting your weight loss is not that easy, changes need to be made and you'd have to strictly follow them, or it won't work. I'll start with what I did wrong.  I assumed that I would lose weight if I simply stopped eating junk food, like potato chips, cheesy balls, tons of chocolate and bonbons. While the idea was good, it wasn't enough. I did stop eating these unhealthy snacks, but that's all I did. And this is a very common mistake among overweight people. Just by cutting out unhealthy treats from your diet, you won't start to magically lose weight. Esp
