Anything you want to do in life starts with the motivation to do it.
You want to buy a new shirt because you believe you’ll look good in it and that motivates you.
You go ahead and ask for a raise because the money motivates you.
You want to lose weight because… well, it depends.
Here’s my own ‘list’ of why I chose to lose weight:
- I want to be healthy
- I want to look great
- I want to wear tight tops and shorts again
- I want to fit in my new pair of jeans (funny story: I ordered a pair of jeans online and instead of my size, I got a smaller size but I decided I WILL fit in those jeans)
- Simply because I CAN. That’s right, if the contestants on The Biggest Loser can lose that many pounds, it means that anyone can do this.
Now, everyone knows how hard it is to lose weight and how easy it is to just give up. It’s a lot more easier to sit on your comfy chair and eat a bar of chocolate instead of working your butt off doing jumping jacks. At the end of the day though, don’t wine about how you put on another pound this week.
Motivate yourself to be strong and start working out, start eating the right foods and start living a healthy life!
The best way to motivate yourself is to think about the final result. How bad do you want to feel good about yourself? You have to see that goal and work hard to reach it. It’s not going to be easy because change is hard but if you’re motivated enough, you can do this!
There’s a quote I like a lot, that fits quite well in here:
Be miserable. Or motivate yourself. Whatever has to be done, it’s always your choice.
