Link directories..

I’ve been adding my sites to link directories, a few per day not to harm myself with too much work 
and i noticed the pending list of sites. Now this is the reason i’m writing this…
There are a lot, and i mean a LOT of directories that have no less than.. a few thousands pending links. What’s the use of having a directory if you have thousands and thousands of pending links?! The biggest number i saw was 65.364 links pending… After i submited mine there were 65.366, so i’m hoping maybe in a few years i’ll get accepted or rejected..
I prefer directories that accept sites without reciprocal URL, if i was to add a link for every link directory i submit my site to, i’d need a whole sidebar just for the links. And besides, what’s the use of providing the link if i have to wait years for the directory to accept my site?
I used also to submit link in directories and it really takes a month before it will be visible in that specific directories.
Getting links is definitely a slow process… You will find it hard not to find one that will not request the same in terms of a reciprocal url
I find that it’s pretty much pointless to submit a site to anything other than the top directories. Most directories carry no weight in Google.

In fact not link directories are not really valuable for SEO…. Mass product, I guess.
Also reciprocal links aren’t worth anything in terms of SEO.
I think it would be better if you narrowed down your list of directory submissions. Choose only those that are considered the top directories. At least the wait will be worth it. Thanks!
This is part of SEO and submitted to the sites and link with directories. These directories are used to build a links to an other sites.

Link Directories becomes and old fashion , and it is nit valuable for SEO , specially the force you to put a link to them in your blog ( reciprocal links )
I have to agree, so directory listing sites don’t care about free regular links all they care is the paid for listing. Reciprocal is a trade link so it’s hard to embed it again on your website for for a PR 0 directory.
I also prefer the directories with no reciprocal link,directories have became something older in SEO, directories with having high pr matters.
Link Exchanges can be dangerous as well, I am not sure but do some research on your own because I’ve only heard it. I also submitted to various directories and in 2-3 months, only one has been accepted and that too based on Page Hits, so which means I am not on Page 1 and no means of getting any recognition.
i still think that link directory not so much worth. we need keep update with fresh and quality content then link will coma naturally itself. just my 2 cent
Link directories are not useful to increase web traffic.
Haha, it is true that many free directories never approve their links, except maybe in 10 years time. You should submit to those that don’t have so many pending links.
