Happy holidays everyone!

Happy holidays, with coconuts :D

I wish you all (those few readers i might have already lost…) a happy season with joy and lots of cookies.

I myself love cookies and cakes and everything related. Even if this year I can’t be with my whole family, i can still enjoy the making (and of course, eating) of a cookie I learned to bake from someone close.

It’s called cake with coconut frosting.

You need:cake with coconut frosting

for the dough:

250 g. sugar
250 g. flour
2 eggs
1 spoon of honey (optional)
100 ml. milk
baking powder

for the glazing:

200 g. sugar
200 g. butter
4 spoons od milk
4 spoons of cocoa
grated coconut

How to bake:
Dough: Mix the ingredients until you obtain a dough. Place it on a tray with baking paper and bake for 20 minutes (or less, if it’s done). Let the dough cool, then cut it in cubes.

Glazing:
Boil the ingredients until the sugar melts.

Roll the cubes through the cocoa glazing, then roll them in the coconut race.

Chocolate cake recipe

Since the 1st of june is almost here, maybe a chocolate cake with whipped cream would be a nice idea for kids :)

This is a simple recipe, doesn’t take to long to prepare and it’s delicious

Here it is, chocolate cake:

You need:chocolate cake

160 g. of flour
150 g. sugar
3 eggs
200 ml. milk
chocolate cream (nutella or any kind)
whipped cream
vanilla sugar
1 small pack of yeast

How to bake: Mix the ingredients: eggs, sugar, milk, flour, yeast and a bit of salt. Place the dough into a cake form, for 30 minutes at 180 degrees. Then cut it in two and grease the bottom with nutella, then with whipped cream. Put the top and sprinkle with vanilla sugar.

Home made bread

… dough used for pizza :)

I actually did try this at home :D

I made pizza from bread dough. It’s really easy to bake. At first i was afraid of dough made with yeast, but i see it’s pretty simple actually.

pizza home madeYou need these ingredients:

1 kg. flour

2 tablespoons of sugar

3-4 tablespoons of salt

2 glasses of milk

oil

1 small package of yeast

How to bake: Put the flour in a big vessel. Add the yeast, sugar and salt. Add the milk and some oil and mix well. Leave it to grow for about 1 hour then spread it on a tray and cook in the oven (~200 degrees) for about 10-15 minutes.
Take the dough out and add pizza stuff: tomato juice, vegetables, cheese.. and so on. Then put it back in the oven for another few minutes (15-20… just don’t burn it :D ).

Espresso foam

Ingredients:spuma espresso

8 yolks

8 tablespoons of sugar

300 ml. cold espresso

500 ml. whipped cream

2 peaches

50 g.  almond flakes

How to prepare: You beat the yolks with 6 tablespoons of sugar. You put the recipient in bain-marie and include the espresso, while steering. We need to get a fluffy cream. You take the bowl out of the water and put in a recipient on ice. Mix until the composition cools. You beat the cream with 2 tablespoons of sugar and mix it with the rest. Put the cream in dessert bowls. Cut slices of peach in half and decorate the espresso cream. Fry the almonds and sprinkle the cream. You can also decorate with mint leaves.

Tiramisu

Ingredients: tiramsu

500 g. of biscuits

500 g. sweet cheese

3 eggs

4 small cups of coffee

sweet liqueur

cocoa

150 g. of sugar

How to prepare: Mix the yolks with sugar and add the cheese and the white stuff from the eggs (beaten untill it becomes a foam). You dip the biscuits in coffee and add liqueur. On a shelf you lie down a layer of cream over which you put a layer of biscuits … and so on. You put the cocoa on top.

Milk desert

Ingredients:lapte de pasare

4 eggs
1 l. milk
100 g. sugar
some lemon juice

How to cook it: Separate the eggs (the yolk from the white stuff). Make a mousse out of the white part of the eggs (beat it until it gets hard); add some sugar and the lemon juice. Heat the milk (but don’t boil it). Take some mousse with a spoon and put it in the milk. Let it in 1-2 minutes on each side, then take it out. After you do this, add the yolk mixed with sugar. Let it boil a little, then pour the cream over the pieces of mousse.
