A better life..
So here I am in Italy for almost 8 months now.
It’s pretty crazy because I never thought about leaving my country. Life in Romania is …well, awfull. You can’t have a decent salary, some have to get 2-3 jobs, they don’t see their families because they work all the time; and there’s others who don’t work at all because they keep whining they can’t find a job but they’re not even looking for one.
I always thought i could have a decent life in my country and still.. i left.
okay, enough winning
I got the taste of a better life from my first salary here in Italy. I could pay the rent, buy clothes and eat a lot and still have plenty of money for going out or for saving. Things that in Romania seem almost impossible.
I met people who started working and after a few days already made a loan in a bank. You can’t do that in Romania, i barely barely got my laptop and i’ve been working for 5 months already and still they didn’t want to approve the loan. Here you need to prove you have a workplace and it’s enough.
But.. things got a bit worse lately. I can’t find a job because of this damn crisis. I went to a lot of work agencies, they didn’t call. I tried to find some work through internet, didn’t work.
Like my sister said, the whole world is falling appart!
Every day i see more and more people begging at the corner of the street or hear about people suiciding because they hav too many debts. It’s to sad to be true..
But still i believe this has to be over sometime. I still believe i’ll have a better life and be able to live decent. I just hope it’ll be over sooner.

it was very bad story you have told. i am feeling very sympathetic. anyways best of luck. dont worry…. good days will also come very soon…
I’ve lived in america my whole life and always wanted to visit Italy, I’m sorry your experiences have not been so great.
take care
Take it as a new experience and you shall succeed. All the best.
You can make your life better. Keep trying, be bold and go and ask people for a job, in shops – at businesses anywhere you can. Be persistent, something will come up. I believe you can change your life if you want to. Don’t take your Romania pessimism into Italy with you. Yes times are tough but there’s plenty of people in the world having the best year of their lives, financially and otherwise. See the glass half full, not half empty. Hope you make it there in Italy!
Thank you for the advice. I’m not pessimistic it’s just that i tried and tried and still the crisis makes me sad, so many people are out of work and get fired every day, but i hope it’ll be better in time.
Things will turn around some time this year, just hold on…
Its a very bad story but hold on man things will take time to get the change and when it will change every thing will be ok. Its true it is not easy live without the family. but to get a little you have to wait.
Dusty single trails and rocky forestry roads cross the Romania’s mountains in all directions, creating a mountain bikers paradise, with superb landscapes. Bucegi Mountains is one of the most spectacular mountain range in Romania. A large network
Yes, things will get better. I live in the US and someday hope to visit Italy, hopefully it is better than how it has been to you.
Don’t worry very soon time will be in your favor..

My all best wishes are with you.
I feel you. Sometimes, problem came when you least expect it. But even though you feel like your the unluckiest person in the world, there will always be a way to solve every problem. And always remember the people around you who are always ready to help.
God Bless You and Have a good day.
My all best wishes are with you.

Wow! i glad to know that you are enjoying in Italy..
There are a lot of success stories that I’ve read during the past years of my life, usually its start with “i have nothing” after doing business it turns to “now i bought a house in great subdivision”, like rugs to riches kind of stories.
I having a better life starts when you learn to be contented. Great post!
Yeah really this is new experience.
While the part of your life spent in Romania was awful it helped you appreciate being in Italy all the more. I spent 8 days there once and am extremely jealous.
I think everyone is looking for a better life ..a person strives in order to have a best life..i salute you for exerting effort in order to have an improvement in your life..keep it up!
i think everybody is affected in this crisis, but having a positive outlook through everything else that is happening will push you to much better outcome.
Living in Italy is a dream for me. But if i want to live there i must have a nice job, because of high cost of living in Italy. Thanks for sharing your experience to us..

Your first paragraph sounds like life in the US for a lot of people.

That is right: all those who were abroad before they had a better life than the country, but this time it is everywhere. I’m lucky I have a stable job and a very good salary.
Yeah really you done a great work..
The world economy should recover fast. Let’s hope for that. I agree with you that the recession will be over and the world economy will be better.
Don’t listen to negative people about the world falling apart. If there is change it is all for our good. And things will get better one day.
