Here's an idea: how about replacing those breakfast cereals every once in a while. I love milk and cereals but sometimes I get bored of eating the same thing over and over again. Well, I think I found a good alternative: a two egg omelette with veggies. Here's what you need: 2 eggs half of a zucchini one small tomato a spoon of olive oil (or cooking spray) salt and other spices of your choice Here's how to cook it: First, chop the tomato and the zucchini.  Fry them in your pan until they are moist. Beat the two eggs with a fork and throw them in the pan. Add salt and other spices, mix everything until it's done. Now eat your breakfast ;) Eggs for breakfast is actually a good start for the day. If you don't want to (or can't) eat the yolks, use the eg
Lose weight by setting small goals

Lose weight by setting small goals

Weight loss
One of the biggest issues I personally have with this whole weight loss process is that not only is it hard at times, but my goal weight just seems so far away! I bet everyone who wants to lose weight has the same problem. Well, in this particular situation there are 2 things you can do: you can either quit and go back to being fat (I know it's not politically correct to say that, but it's the cold truth) or, you can continue to fight for yourself and eventually reach your goal weight and be proud you did it! Reaching your goal weight can be a bit tough though, especially when you have to lose like, 50 pounds or more! Well, to make things easier on yourself you could set up small goals and slowly reach each of them. Once you reach one small goal, move on to the next one and so on, un...

How to keep a food journal

Weight loss questions and answers
As you might already know, many recommend that, once you decide to start losing weight, you should start keeping a food journal. A food journal is nothing more than a notebook where you write down everything you ate in a day. Food journals can be a real help in the whole weight loss process. They help you keep track of what you eat, how often, how many calories do you eat on a daily basis etc. First things first - buy a notebook Well, the first thing you need to do when deciding to keep a food journal is buy an actual notebook. If you find it easier, you can keep track of everything you eat on the computer too. I, for example, recommend using Microsoft Excel or something similar. Look for calorie tables for foods In order to keep an accurate food journal, you need to kno

I've been on this "ride" for more than two months now and, if there's anything I  can say about adopting a healthy diet, it's this: you have to have balance and diversity. Otherwise you're just going to get bored. Eating chicken everyday is not that great. You eventually will want to eat something else, I know that for a fact. Besides, diversity is fun! Fish. Fish is a healthy type of meat. But you know that already. Fish is easier to digest (compared to other meats), it's a great source of protein, it builds muscle and it's really good for the brain (so they say...). Personally, I prefer salmon, tuna fish or - the one I like the most - hake. For this recipe I used hake. Here's the recipe: You need: fish - 7 ounces (200 grams) asparagus - 3 or 4 ounces (100 grams

Weight loss
Eating healthy is a big part of the weight loss process. In other words, just so you know how important eating is, if you don't eat you won't lose weight. Well, while breakfast, lunch and dinner are a must, so is a good afternoon snack. Think about it, you eat in the morning before you go to work or school, then you eat lunch after about 5 hours or so, and then you would have to wait at least 7 or 8 hours until dinnertime. Well, that can't be good. Typically, food is digested in a number of hours. Some say it takes about 24 hours, others say it takes up to 72, ecc. Regardless of what specialists say, the one thing you can be absolutely sure about is that, sometime between lunch and dinner, you will be hungry! The wrong thing to do when that happens is to ignore it and starve. Why?...
