You don’t want to cheat your diet

You don’t want to cheat your diet

Weight loss
When it comes to choosing a healthy lifestyle, there's no doubt that there are some sacrifices to be made. I, for example, gave up completely on fast food. I can pass by McDonald's and not even care. It's a tremendous progress compared to before, when I would feel the NEED to eat at least a cheeseburger. Not anymore! Quitting is never easy Choosing a healthy lifestyle means you have to really quit eating a lot of the things you used to eat before. Fast food, buckets of ice cream, bags of potato chips etc. Oh, let's not forget the soda after every meal. Quitting on all these foods is a hard thing to do, you have to say "no" every time you feel the need to go back to your bad eating habits. Have you ever tried to quit smoking? It's just as hard. Cheating on your diet is still...

Healthy dessert – mascarpone cream with fruit

Weight loss recipes
I bet that most overweight people have a sweet tooth. I, for one, could eat a big slice of chocolate cake and ask for more! But that's not OK and it's certainly something I had to give up in order to have a healthy lifestyle. That doesn't mean you can't enjoy a yummy, healthy dessert anyway! Desserts don't necessarily have to be covered in chocolate or whipped cream. In fact, it's better if they aren't. One of the desserts I recently discovered is based on mascarpone cheese. It's the cheese you use to make Tiramisu Cake so you already know it's yummy, right? Well, mascarpone cheese by itself is not that great, but instead of adding sugar to it, you can add fruit! Healthy, tasty and - if you're careful - low calorie. You need: mascarpone cheese - 9 ounce (250 gr.) - abo...

What sports are good for weight loss?

Weight loss questions and answers, Workout routines
Before I started to exercise and find a routine that works for me, I tried to figure out what sports are the most efficient for weight loss. I have read a ton of articles online, in magazines and even books, but everyone had their own "expert" opinion. There is no perfect sport to lose weight! Let me tell you why. First of all, we are not all alike. While one person might like to work up a good sweat and push themselves to their limits and beyond, another person might like to take a walk and call that exercise. If you belong to either of the two categories above, you sure won't be comfortable to slip into the other one. The best example I can give is myself. In order to lose weight for real, I decided to stick to a strict schedule: 2 hours of exercise every day. In order n

Weight loss recipes
When you're trying to lose weight and need to eat healthy foods all the time, it's a bit hard to face all those fast food cravings. One of my favorite fast-food items is chicken nuggets. I love them, I could eat an entire bucket of nuggets and ask for more. Well, since I know how bad fast food is, I decided to try and make some chicken nuggets at home. I looked up some recipes and in the end I decided to stick to what I have in the fridge and give it a try. Here's what you need, for 2 servings: chicken breast (no skin, no bones) - 1 piece (less than 1 pound) bread crumbs - one small cup grated cheese - 1/2 small cup melted butter salt, pepper and other spices of your choice How to prepare the chicken nuggets: In a bowl, mix the breadcrumbs, grated cheese and al...

Weight loss
Besides motivation, strength is one of the most important tools you need to lose weight. Whether you're on a diet (which I hope you aren't) or on a new path to a healthy lifestyle, you need a lot of strength to keep going and not give up on the first try. I decided to lose weight because of many reasons, but the ones that keep me going are these two: I knew I was overweight and needed to lose a few pounds (a few for me is about 20 lbs);   I promised myself and my family that I will look amazing this summer. A promise is a promise! However, from saying "I will lose weight" to actually doing it you need to realize that there's a long way to go and it will be hard and it will seem impossible and you will sometimes want to quit. QUITTING IS NOT AN OPTION! Personally, the moment
